With a heavy heart, I write that on Tuesday, our beloved Jazzy passed away.
She became a permanent resident of SVH in 2017. Her start was filled with numerous health problems, but with time, diagnostics, and staff dedication, we nursed her back to health.
Many of you may remember her as the cat that laid on the old checkout counter waiting for you to pet her. She also loved to lay on keyboards, printers, and the middle of your important papers.
She inspired me to create a hospital environment that was cat-friendly and enjoyed by cats. Over time, we took in friends to her colony, but she was the Queen. She brought joy and laughter to our everyday.
I want to thank all of my team at SVH for the years of care. I could not have done it without you. Those of you who came in on weekends and snowstorms. Her friends on a daily basis that made her special foods and prepared her little beds. For the endless head scratches and pedicures. I made her a beautiful yard to walk around in and get some fresh air. She was pampered.
People don’t realize how much we give to the animals and of ourselves every day. I know, and she knew, and because of this, she was able to live well beyond her years with her chronic illnesses. She was loved and will be missed dearly. We have some great pictures to share of her life in action at Shohola Veterinary Hospital.
Thank you,
Dr. LD
