Every year we - Dr Livia DeMeo and her team are moved by some of the pet owners personal struggle stories and hardship they‘ve been or currently going through. As animal lovers we all know too well how easily pet parents will choose to put their pets ahead of their own needs. These cases are eye opening to the fact that in this community people may still have difficulty putting food on the table for their families - both for the “two legged” as well as their “four legged” loved ones.
As a Veterinary Hospital we are dedicated to supporting pet families in need. A few years ago , Dr Livia launched a Holiday Pet Food Drive and it’s since become a cherished tradition allowing her and team to give back to our community year after year.
We encourage people to help and no amount is too small, even one bag of food can change the day to day life of another pet and their person.
In the spirit of giving, we’re also excited to announce that Shohola Veterinary Hospital is matching the total donations, doubling the impact and ensuring even more pets in need will receive help. All of the donated food being distributed to two of our local community food pantries, making another holiday season a little brighter for our furry friends and their families.
